CGM Group has gained experience working in a range of rural environments and our current client base offers a diversity of work that other contractors would struggle to emulate. With the East of England subject to drainage for both agricultural and residential development the requirement to maintain waterways is a high priority. Because of this CGM Group has been involved in a range of vegetation and channel management services for a number of years, leading to the purchase of specialised machinery and plant.
From our agricultural tractors with flail attachments through to pressure mowers, our fleet of plant can carry out vegetation management on steep banks and remote areas. Control of in-channel weed and vegetation growth can also be targeted by our RYA trained operators using weed cutting boats.
Our specialist vegetation management fleet is also used extensively in highway verge maintenance. This ensures growth is kept clear of highways, verges, culverts and street furniture. We also partake in winter hedge flailing to ensure rural hedges are maintained.
When required CGM can supply traffic management options to facilitate works on or adjacent to highways and liaise with the necessary local authorities to ensure road space is booked in advance.
