2015 was a great year for us here at CGM Group with our main accomplishment being celebrating 30 successful years in business however, the year also saw us make many other achievements.
In 2015 the business reached a point where we had outgrown our Head Office at Hill House Farm, West Dereham. The business had been based here since it began 30 years ago so saying goodbye was a hard task. In March 2015 we moved into our new premises based just outside Downham Market comprising of a two story office space connected to a multipurpose warehouse with onsite workshop and training facilities.
Here at CGM Group our aim is to be the complete facilities company for clients and that’s why in April 2015 we launch our new pest solutions division. Our qualified
technicians now cover East Anglia and the surrounding areas offering a full range of pest control services for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
May saw our success in tendering for three major housing associations and in turn saw the expansion of our facilities department.
June was an exciting month for all of us here at CGM Group, the long wait was over and our new CGM stress vans final arrived! Since then the little red vans have been seen all over the world, from Manhattan to Amsterdam, Maldives to The Lake District to name but a few!
We think it is important to support the local community and that is why in June 2015 it was a honor to be asked by Denver Cricket Club if we would be their main sponsor for the next 3 years. It is a pleasure to be associated with Denver Cricket Club, and we would like to wish all of the Denver teams the very best for a successful 2016 season.
We had spent the first six months of 2015 preparing for July why? It saw our 30th celebrations come to ahead with the official opening of Reed House, our new depot based in Downham Market. Reed House was named after and opened by Mr A. E. Reed who award Tim Glover, Managing Director his first major contract.
August saw CGM Group awarded the Safecontractor accreditation for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.
Our first trainee arborists began their training programmes in October 2015 and are now well on their way to becoming fully competent arborists at the CGM Group.
In November we expanded our services even further and became a registered waste carrier, we now operate a rollon skip lorry with a hiab capability allowing us to provide rollon containers for all types of waste.
December saw us travel to The Grosvenor House, London to pick up our forth BALI Award for soft landscaping works at Hopton Holiday
Park. The award follows previous success in 2012 and 2014 where CGM scooped three other awards. We was delighted to be awarded the prestigious national landscape award and hope we will have the same success in 2016.
We finished off the year in true CGM style with our Staff Christmas Party. Throughout the year we also participated in raising money for various different charities including Cancer Research, Comic Relief, Diabetes UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Children in Need to name but a few.
Don’t know about you but we can’t wait to see what 2016 will bring!
