Graduated from Reading University in 2005 and worked in and around London in the horticulture industry before joining CGM in 2009 as Business Development Manager. Since then have worked as Landscape Manager, General Manager, Head of Regional Development and now Operations Manager for the Projects department. An average working day at CGM involves juggling numerous aspects of the department – estimating, securing new contracts, staff management, works planning and ordering materials. But I also get out of the office to meet clients and walk around constructions sites to check progress of projects.
The best thing about my job is the sense of pride that comes from seeing our staff develop over the years; observing them demonstrating new skills they have learnt, problem solving using their initiative based on their past experiences, and working together independently as a team. I think all of us in the landscaping department enjoy creating new gardens, parks and landscapes from scratch, and building strong relationships with our many varied clients.
