REPORTS TO: Head of Operations
As the Project manager you will play a key role in leading the delivery of public realm construction projects from £10,000 to £1m.
Working within our projects team, this varied role will involve taking projects at their pre-construction phase; informing the final stages of the design process, and resolving the practical limitations of the design in relation to the existing built environment on site.
In addition to the project-specific responsibilities, the Operations Manager with the support of a Junior Estimator will be responsible for the submission of monthly valuations for their projects and for efficient and effective cost control of the projects which they are managing. This will include, but not be limited to, auditing and managing the buying on projects and measuring the project to determine any variation costs.
The Operations Manager (Projects) will be responsible for assisting the Head of Operations in the adequate resourcing of the Company’s projects. This will include identifying skills shortages; assessing our resource requirements; interviewing and recruiting staff and managing their training and development on site.

We are specialists in Landscape Management and Landscape Construction and have ambitious plans to grow this side of our business in 2018. We are currently looking for a Junior Landscape Estimator to come and join our Projects team and be a key part of this process. We are based in Downham Market, Norfolk and our landscaping projects typically cover the East Anglia area.
The Junior Landscape Estimator will ideally have some Landscaping experience or a very strong Construction or Civil Engineering background & will have some experience of estimating software systems and possess good mathematical skills. Training will be provided for the proficient use of Clik4 software but a good knowledge of Excel would be an advantage.

Our Projects department carries out works for a wide range of discerning clients; the successful candidate will be one who is able to work well in both a large team, but also individually, sharing their skills and ideas. Being a member of this department means that you will predominantly be required to carry out soft landscaping work, however, you will also be required to work on hard landscaping projects as our order book dictates.
