Country Grounds Maintenance (CGM) have once again demonstrated their strong community links by supplying railway-themed planting beds to local Downham Market train station.
The historic station which dates back to 1846 and houses a Grade 2 listed station building has had two large planting beds built providing an attractive backdrop for the 140,000+ train passengers who use the station every year.
First Capital Connect Station Manager Graeme Pratt who has managed Downham Market for nine years was delighted with the displays: “Our brief to CGM was clear, we wanted to produce a more attractive station layout.
“They’ve done this very well, we love the use of sleepers and how it has been produced to reflect the important place this lovely station has in our community.”
CGM Business Development & Projects Manager Chris Taylor added: “Being close to our community is extremely important to CGM.
“Downham Market Train Station has such heritage. We wanted our work to reflect this and hope the many passengers enjoy seeing our railway-themed displays.”
